KLEVE STENSHORNE

Twenty-year-old Norwegian-born Martinius Stenshorne is one of the most intriguing talents in motorsport.

Martinius Stenshorne made history in 2023 as the first rookie to win on his debut weekend in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. He went on to finish runner-up overall in his first season in the category, as well as claiming the Rookie title.

Born into a motorsport family in Norway, Martinius was introduced to racing at an early age. His father, Martin, competed in the World Rally Championship and bought Martinius his first kart when he was just four years old. Martinius began racing competitively at the age of ten and quickly established himself as one of Norway’s most promising young talents. He finished second in the WSK Champions Cup in 2018 before going on to win the WSK Master Series and the Italian Championship.

After a strong karting career, Martinius made the move to single-seaters in 2022. Competing in Formula 4 across the UAE, Germany and Italy with R-ace GP and Van Amersfoort Racing, he delivered multiple podium finishes and quickly adapted to the demands of international single-seater racing.

In 2023, Martinius stepped up to Formula Regional, competing in both the Middle East and Europe. He made an immediate impact in FRECA, winning on his debut weekend and also taking a podium and pole position. Across the season, he claimed five race wins, led the championship midway through the year and added four further pole positions, finishing as runner-up in the Formula Regional European Championship and as Rookie Champion.

In 2024, Martinius moved up to FIA Formula 3 with Hitech Pulse-Eight, taking on one of the most competitive grids in junior single-seater racing. He quickly made his mark by winning the Sprint Race in Melbourne, Australia, and added further strong performances throughout his rookie campaign, including two podium finishes and a fastest lap.

During the same season, Martinius was announced as part of the McLaren Driver Development Programme, joining one of motorsport’s most recognized talent pathways and strengthening his presence on the international racing stage.

He remained with Hitech for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season and delivered a significant step forward. Over the course of the year, Martinius became a regular front-runner, scoring 89 points and finishing fifth in the championship standings. His season included race victories, podium finishes and fastest laps, underlining his continued development and race-winning potential at FIA F3 level.

Later in 2025, Martinius made his FIA Formula 2 debut with Trident in Baku before joining Rodin Motorsport for the final rounds of the season. He scored his first Formula 2 points in Qatar, marking another important milestone in his progression towards the top levels of international motorsport.

In 2026, Martinius continues his rise through the single-seater ranks with Rodin Motorsport in FIA Formula 2, taking the next major step on the road towards his long-term goal of becoming Norway’s first Formula 1 World Champion.

Martinius has his sights set on further success
this year in FIA F2, another step on the road
towards his ultimate aim to become Norway’s
first-ever Formula 1 champion.
