Eighteen-year-old Norwegian-born Martinius Stenshorne is one of the most intriguing talents in motorsport.

He made history as the first rookie to win his debut race in Formula Regional Europe in 2023 and finished as eventual runner up in his first-ever season in the category. In 2024 steps up to the international stage in FIA Formula 3 with Hitech Pulse-Eight.

Born into a motorsport family in Norway, father Martin competed in the World Rally Championship. Martin bought Martinius his first kart aged just four and he began racing competitively aged ten. He finished second in the WSK Champions Cup in 2018, before winning the WSK Master Series and Italian Championship.

Martinius proved strong in karting, but was a revelation in his move to single-seaters in 2022. Combining F4 campaigns in the UAE, Germany and Italy for R-Ace GP and Van Amersfoort Racing, he posted multiple podiums.

In 2023 Martinius moved to Formula Regional, competing in both the Middle East and Europe. In his most successful season to date, he won on his debut, also claiming a further podium and pole position on his first-ever weekend in FRECA. He went on to win five races throughout the season – leading the championship midway through the year – as well as four more pole positions to finish as Vice Formula Regional European Champion overall and Rookie Champion Formula Regional European.

Martinius has his sights set on further success this year in FIA F3, another step on the road towards his ultimate aim to become Norway’s first-ever Formula 1 champion.
